We house chickens in cages where they have room to move freely and stretch their wings. Chickens, like people, need space to be comfortable. They also have snuggly spots so the girls can take a load off and relax. This allows our chickens to thrive and have the feeling of security as though they are free ranging and free to explore, as they would be in nature, if they were outside.
Here at Hemei, we recognize the fact that sustainability is critical, especially when it comes to producing our eggs. We want to do our share to save the environment, while ensuring our hens get proper care. That’s why we make sure our hen cages are planet-friendly. Our wire is made from recycled materials, so we are reusing items that would otherwise just end up in the trash. And we have solar power, so we can power our chickens while keeping the Earth happy as well.
Our cages are also designed to reduce waste and pollution. We are making the best of this, we collect the waste of our chickens and turn it into organic fertilizer with a special system. So instead of discarding waste, we can turn it into food for our plants. This way we can be kind to our planet and help it stay clean and green all while producing healthy eggs.
Space is really critical on farms, as we know. We must utilise the space that we have and utilise it efficiently to get as many eggs as possible. That’s why we developed a smart cage system that allows us to maximize space usage. Our cages are stacked one on top of the other so that we can process a greater density of chickens in the same area. That way we can fit many hens together, whilst still ensuring they have a comfortable and healthy space to live.
We are utilizing the vertical space in both our cages and barns through stacked cages. This means we can take advantage of the space above us, keeping our chickens safe and happy without requiring a ton of additional ground space. The smart design allows us to raise more chickens and get more eggs, and it keeps everything neat and organized.
The cages include smooth surfaces that prevent dirt and germs from adhering to tight spaces. It makes everything easier for our staff in keeping it clean.” We also ensure that our cages are easy to access so that our workers can easily clean and disinfect them on a regular basis. Proper cleaning is essential to keep our chickens in a safe and clean environment.
Our hens are fed a balanced diet rich in all the vitamins and minerals necessary for their well being. We have a policy of feeding and flying our hens well so that they can produce yummy eggs. We also gather our eggs soon after they are laid. We put them in the best condition for continued freshness and taste after collection.
